Know What You Need, and What It Takes to Get There
Recommendations here are not filtered through an approved product list, so what gets suggested follows from your circumstances rather than from anyone's inventory. Joseph Dupuis works with business owners and families across more than thirteen states from an office in Berlin, New Hampshire.
What We Do
People usually come in with two questions: will what they've saved cover the life they want, and is their current approach to investing going to get them there in time? Joe Dupuis starts by building your number from your own spending and expectations, not an outside benchmark. Then he creates the plan and portfolio designed to reach it. From there, the two of you meet at least once a year to compare what has happened with what the plan assumed, and to adjust course wherever the two have drifted apart.
Who We Serve
Why We’re Different
Owners in their thirties through fifties whose companies hold most of what they have built.
Households balancing college costs, mortgage payments, and retirement contributions against one income stream or two.
People within a decade of leaving work who want the arithmetic checked before they commit.
Clients in more than thirteen states who work with Joe through scheduled phone and video.
How We Help in Five Steps
The categories below tend to overlap in practice, since a decision about the business changes what retirement looks like and a change in the plan changes the portfolio. Joe handles all of it himself, which keeps those connections from getting lost between people.
Financial Planning
Cash flow, savings, debt, and education costs mapped together so the trade-offs between them become visible and comparable.
Retirement Planning
Building the number from your own spending and expectations, then working out what it takes to reach it.
Investment Management
Portfolios built around your timeline and risk tolerance, selected without a required product list narrowing the options.
Planning for Business Owners
Separating personal retirement from company value, including the retirement plan offered to employees and eventual exit considerations.
Ongoing Review
Annual meetings measuring what happened against what was projected, with adjustments wherever your circumstances and the plan diverged.
A Career Built Where He Grew Up
Joe Dupuis grew up in Berlin, went to Clarkson University, and came home to work with families here, first at the credit union and then, from 2018, as an advisor. He opened JBD Wealth Management so that his recommendations answer to his clients rather than to a corporate product list.
